Teaching

Melissa began offering writing programmes and story circles to seniors in 2009. She also leads children’s writing workshops in both English and French.  Melissa has guest-lectured at several universities, mentored and coached other writers, and spoken at creative and academic conferences.  She will be joining the teaching staff of The King’s University in January 2015 as the instructor of English 391 – Creative Writing: Short Story and Poetry.

Writing Groups  for Seniors

Melissa’s writing groups are sometimes thought of as a « Story Circle, » for they are open to anyone who wants to listen to or share a story, whether or not he or she is physically able to write
